Who controls your information
I’m Nigel Holland, a sole trader trading as Studio342. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller and I am responsible for how your personal information is handled. You can contact me at hello@studio342.co.uk.
Information I collect
I may receive your name, email address, organisation and anything else you choose to include when you contact me. My hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps in security and server logs. I also store your cookie preference locally in your browser.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about visits and interactions, including pages viewed, events, session information, approximate location, and browser and device information. Google may process an IP address as part of providing the service. Studio342 does not send names, email addresses or a user ID to Google Analytics.
Why I use it
I use enquiry information to respond, discuss potential work and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. My lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract and, where appropriate, my legitimate interest in running and protecting the studio. Technical logs are used for security, reliability and diagnosing problems.
Google Analytics is used only with your consent to understand visitor numbers, which pages are useful and how people move around the website. Measurement ID G-YX20MS8DQS is configured without advertising storage, Google Signals or advertising personalisation. You can withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Who receives it
Information may be processed by trusted providers supporting hosting, email and business administration. Analytics information is processed by Google and its service providers under Google’s applicable data-processing terms. I do not sell personal information.
Google may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer occurs, I rely on the safeguards made available under Google’s contractual terms, such as applicable adequacy arrangements or approved contractual clauses. Read Google’s privacy policy for more information.
How long I keep it
General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. Records connected with a client relationship may be retained for up to seven years where needed for legal, tax or contractual purposes. Routine server logs are normally retained for no longer than 90 days.
Cookie choices are remembered for up to 12 months. Google Analytics event-level information is intended to be retained for no longer than 14 months, while Google Analytics cookies can remain on a device for up to two years unless you reject or remove them sooner.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to its use; and receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact me to exercise a right.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. I would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
Changes
I may update this notice as the website or my use of information changes. The latest version and its date will always appear on this page.
